WHAT'S HAPPENIN'
Planning to do anything particularly bookish? Dude, you totally have to click here and check these guys out. They will Set. You. UP! Look at what they've done for me! You think I obtained all this awesomeness on my own?! Well...okay. A lot of the awesomeness is all me. But STILL. It takes a VILLAGE! And there's nobody I'd want to share my book village with more than the cool team at Fresh Ink Group!
Oh, how glorious it was to have an opportunity to participate in a community event again, and I was thrilled that my first post-pandemic event was the Tacoma Spring Fairy Festival! I can't wait for more chances to get out there and meet new amazing people!

"Collins has created a character, Sarah, who is easily unlikable at the outset and reshapes her throughout the plot...". 😂😂😂 I never tried to "reshape Sarah throughout the plot". When Mad Max was finished, Mom and I talked about how Sarah ended up being pretty much me. So, I guess the moral of the story is that you may not like me when you meet me, but give me a little time and I'll definitely grow on you! 😁

And here it is - Book 3, Mad Max & Sweet Sarah! Wh-Hoooo!!!

It has been SO HARD to keep quiet about this until everyone told me it was okay to share! In the spirit of the new year and new decade, Dad and I sat down and created AWESOME new covers for Daisy, Bold & Beautiful and Mylee In The Mirror! There's another surprise soon to come, but for right now I'm so excited to share these spectacular new covers with you! They'll be available on Monday (January 6th)!

WOW! I had SO much fun at this year's Seattle Readers & Writers Author Event! I got to see one of my all-time favorite authors, Stevie Rae Causey (and buy a few more of her books), I had a couple return customers from last year (& promised them a new book for next year, so I need to get writing as soon as I post this)! One of them was a 2nd grade teacher who read my 1st book to her class last year & can't wait to read my 2nd one to them next year! I also met a ton of new readers & writers (including a friend of Jamie Ford, the author of Hotel on the Corner of Bitter & Sweet. She's a teacher at his old school & I can't wait to tell MY language arts teacher about it, since we just read his book last year)! HUGE thanks to Shauna Kruse for another AWESOME event!!!

I had a great time, once again, at the Brick & Mortar Indie Author Night! There were a few authors from last year and a quite a few new ones and we had a great turn-out!

Had an Ah-MAZ-ing time at the Spring Fairy Festival in Tacoma! There were so many super-cool people to meet and so many awesome things to see! I'm so glad I got the chance to participate!!!

Here I am making lemonade out of the sour lemons I got. Fate hands you a sprained ankle the week before regional championships, & instead of staying home & crying about it, you go & cheer on your teammates...and sell a few books while you're at it. No reason to be too sad, anyway. Apparently my state championship score was enough to qualify me for the national championships in June, so my season isn't quite over yet. HEAL, ankle, HEAL!!!

OMG, FIRST I was SO excited to learn I had won a SILVER MEDAL from the Readers' Favorite International Book Awards, but THEN I found out there's an awards ceremony in MIAMI!!! I had SO much fun!!! Thank you Readers' Favorite! :)

Wow; I LOVE this review from Literary Titan...written by a TEACHER, no less! Thank you, Literary Titan!!!

I saw other kids in the neighborhood having lemonade sales this summer. That gave me an idea... It was so much fun to have a book signing event on the sidewalk! I got to meet SO MANY of my neighbors!!! :)
